PURPOSE:
This matter is being brought forth to the Rules, Administration and Procedures (RAP) Committee to discuss the parameters in which City officers and employees request or ask for a donation of any type of value in support of a City-sponsored event.
BACKGROUND:
The RAP Committee has requested further discussion of Chapter 15 and the use of Ward funds and programming.
DISCUSSION:
This matter is brought before the RAP Committee to have a discussion on how Chapter 15 intertwines with City officers, elected officials, and employees when a private party donates anything of value in support of a City-sponsored event. Discussion will also include a power point presentation.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the RAP committee discusses and provides additional direction to their staff as needed.
