The Wheatlands Elementary School PTO Running of the Wolves 5K, Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 8:00am to 10:00am.

PURPOSE:
A fundraiser for the Wheatlands Elementary School to purchase educational curriculum and supplies.
BACKGROUND:
The Wheatlands Elementary School PTO has organized this event for the past 7 years in the same surrounding area of the school. Last year 410 people participated in the 5K.
DISCUSSION:
The Wheatlands Elementary School PTO is expecting 400-500 people to participate in and 60 staff/volunteers to help with this years proposed event. The Wheatlands Elementary School is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event and for securing any other permits needed for parts of the route not under City of Aurora jurisdiction.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services will be needed from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review/approval.
