West Aurora High School Homecoming Parade, Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm.

PURPOSE:
The West Aurora High School PTSO is requesting permission to hold its annual homecoming parade as a part of its week of homecoming celebration and festivities.
BACKGROUND:
West Aurora High School has held a homecoming parade annually for many years, stepping off at the high school on West Galena Blvd and traversing the neighborhood streets of Garfield, Fordham, Kensington, and Calumet before returning to the school.
DISCUSSION:
West Aurora High School is responsible for all costs associated with this proposed event. They are expecting 400 people to participate and 30-40 staff/volunteers to help.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services are being requested from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division and the Street Maintenance Division for barricades and posting no parking signs.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
