SUBJECT:
A Resolution Accepting the Dedication of a Stormwater Easement at 1535 Reckinger road (Fox Valley Park District - 16-00435 / AU12/3-15.244-DED/E - AM - Ward 1).

PURPOSE:
The Petitioner, Fox Valley Park District, at the request of the City of Aurora, is requesting approval of a plat of easement on property located at 1535 Reckinger Road. An easement is needed for a flood mitigation project which involves the Fox Valley Park District and Farnswood Condo Association. The details of the project include the construction of drainage improvements to provide flooding relief in the low lying area with the Farnswood Subdivision and improve storm sewer convey along Reckinger Road.

BACKGROUND:
The Subject Property is located at 1535 Reckinger road and is currently utilized as open space use with R-1(S) zoning, which is part of a Special Use Planned Development. The property is generally located 1535 Reckinger road, just south of Reckinger Road, North of Indian Trail, and west of Farnsworth Avenue.

DISCUSSION:
Staff has reviewed the Dedication of Easement petition submitted by the petitioner and have sent comments back to them on those submittals. The Petitioner has made all the requested changes to these documents and they now meet all of the applicable codes and ordinances.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Planning and Zoning Division would anticipate that this project will increase the City's overall tax base and viability by facilitating investment and development which will offset any incidental Department or staffing impacts; enhancing the city's infrastructure and improving services to its residence.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff would recommend APPROVAL of the resolution accepting the dedication of a stormwater easement at 1535 Reckinger Road.
