Resolution Authorizing the 2018 Ward Neighborhood Cleanup Program For Wards 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 and Shred Events in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th & 10th Wards in the City of Aurora to be recommended to the Finance Committee at the February 13, 2018, meeting

PURPOSE:
To obtain City Council approval for the 2018 Ward Neighborhood Cleanups and Shred Event Programs.

BACKGROUND:
On an annual basis, Ward Aldermen and their ward committees decide, if and when neighborhood cleanups or shred events will be held.

DISCUSSION:
The neighborhood cleanup days scheduled in 2018 are in Wards 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Wards 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 are anticipating shred events which are scheduled. Various vendors will be contacted to provide disposal services. The costs are determined by the amount of debris hauled away.):

Funds allocated are as follow: Ward budget accounts (311), (312), (313), (314), (315), (316), (317), (318) (319) & (320)-1827-424.36-10.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Approve and forward the recommendation to the Committee of the Whole for further review and consideration.
