SUBJECT:
A resolution to accept the quote from North American Rescue, 35 Tedwall Court, Greer, SC 29650 to purchase 135 Patrol Vehicle Trauma Kit w/ Combat Gauze for the Aurora Police Department, recommended to the Public Health, Safety and Transportation Committee on 06/23/2020.

During this incident six Henry Pratt Employees were shot, five of them fatally. As Aurora Police Officers arrived they were immediately shot at with five officers being shot; fortunately none were killed.
While officers do carry some first aid equipment (to include a tourniquet) once used, the officer has nothing left should they need additional blood stopping first aid equipment. With one of these kits in all patrol vehicles; officers would have access to multiple kits should they encounter multiple victims.

DISCUSSION:
The Patrol ...
