PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for S. Rosedale Avenue in the 100 block to determine traffic volume and traffic speeds.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted PS # 1955906 expressing concern over traffic speeds on S. Rosedale Avenue in the 100 block.
DISCUSSION:
S. Rosedale Avenue is classified as a neighborhood residential roadway, with a speed limit of 25 mph.
Traffic counters on S. Rosedale Avenue revealed an ADT of 275 VPD. Speeds were found to be average 25 mph, with a 85th percentile of 33 mph and a median of 26 mph.
Based on Traffic Calming Policy, this segment of roadway does not qualify for traffic calming due to not meeting ADT traffic volume.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact at this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends acceptance of traffic study.
