PURPOSE:
Circo Hermanos Vazquez have applied for a Circus license to be held at the Fox Valley Shopping Center parking lot on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.;
Closed on Wednesday, September 6, 2017
Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Friday, September 8, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2:00 p.m.to 10:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
BACKGROUND:
Circo Hermanos Vazquez have been traveling the US performing since 1969. This will be the third year that Circo Hermanos Vazquez brings their event to the City of Aurora.
DISCUSSION:
The applicant has provided the required insurance document, a copy of the event layout, Carnival application, Security requirement application and Entertainment Form.
City Staff (Fire Prevention, Police Department, Law Department and the City Clerk's office) will work closely with them to ensure additional requirements (Application Fee, Food and Beverage Tax Registration, Letter from Sponsoring Organization, Assembly Operational Permit Application, Letter of Permission from Property Owner, USDA Licenses for Animals, Restoration/Performance Bond, Health Department Certificate and Circus Employee listing) are met prior to the issuance of a license.
