PURPOSE:
To determine the possibility of installation of guardrail in the south side of W. Indian Trail, in the back of 407 Old Indian Trail.
BACKGROUND:
An Owner of a licensed Daycare facility at 407 Old Indian Trail has their backyard bordering the southern edge of W. Indian Trail. The Owner reports two incidents where a vehicle has hit their backyard fence.
DISCUSSION:
A resident submitted ACR Case ID 90589 requesting guardrail to protect the area in the backyard of 407 Old Indian Trail, which borders W. Indian Trail. The additional guardrail would extend about 280-feet from the existing guardrail located about three Lots to the west. A guard rail study was conducted in 2010, where warranted a guardrail is placed. Staff does not recommend an extension of the guardrail. The length of requested guardrail is 280-feet. This length of guardrail installed would cost between $15,000 and $22,000.

No impact based on staff recommendation.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Recommend denial.
