Resolution Approving The Issuance of a Music Festival Permit for Our Lady of Good Counsel, 620 S. Fifth Street, for September 29, 2013

PURPOSE:
Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (OLGC), 620 South Fifth Street, has applied for a Music Festival Permit for a festival they are planning on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
BACKGROUND:
This is the fourth consecutive year that Our Lady of Good Counsel has applied for and received a Music Festival Permit and to my knowledge there have been no police incidents reported.
DISCUSSION:
- We will again be working with the Police Department and Fire Prevention to ensure that necessary staffing is covered and safety issues are addressed. Our office has received the application fee, necessary insurance documentation and event layout, which is attached.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is my recommendation that this item be referred to the Government Operations Committee for their next meeting on August 13, 2013. This will ensure review and passage by the City Council prior to the event.
