A Resolution Reappointing John Duggan to the Police Pension Board.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the term of John Duggan expired on May 14, 2013; and
WHEREAS, it is the Mayor's desire that John Duggan be reappointed to the Police Pension Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois, hereby approve the reappointment of John Duggan, Aurora, 60506 as a member of the Police Pension Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of John Duggan shall expire on May 31, 2015, however in any event, the appointee shall serve until their respective replacement has been approved by the Council.
