SUBJECT:
A resolution appointing Joshua Pfeuffer and Juan Reyna and reappointing Dale Anderson, Scott Roscoe and Christopher Hess to the Aurora Veterans Advisory Council.

DISCUSSION:
The Aurora Veterans Council (AVAC) was re-established in 2012. The fifteen (15) member council is made up of residents who are: members in good standing of a Veteran's organization headquartered or historically active within the community, Veterans honorably discharged and immediate family members of a Veteran, deceased or living. The AVAC is tasked with assisting in any Veteran-related special events and activities, serving as a liaison between Veterans, Veteran's organizations, the Mayor, the City Council and the community as well as aiding in the solicitation of special events, activities, programs and/or funding related to Veterans.

The recent resignations of Herschel Luckinbill and Mike Eckburg created vacancies and three terms were in need of reappointment.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the City Council approve the appointments of Joshua Pfeuffer and Juan Reyna and the reappointments of Dale Anderson, Scott Roscoe and Christopher Hess to the Aurora Veterans Advisory Council.
