Ordinance Approving Obvious Changes to Aurora's Comprehensive Plan for 13 Areas located throughout the City of Aurora (16-01145 / KDWK16.059-COMP - SB)
PURPOSE:
This Comprehensive Plan Revision is part of a process to continually revise the 1984 Comprehensive Plan to better reflect existing physical conditions within Aurora, Illinois.
BACKGROUND:
The Comprehensive Plan was adopted in order to establish a general development plan for the City of Aurora. This framework was to accomplish four things: guide development, improve quality of life, reflect the desired goals of the community in the City's actions and decisions, and form a more cohesive community based on these three goals. Staff believes that the proposed changes to the Comprehensive Plan will allow these goals to be achieved over time.
DISCUSSION:
Staff has reviewed the Comprehensive Plan and is proposing obvious changes be made to thirteen areas throughout Aurora as described in the attached 1984 Aurora Comprehensive Plan Update Report to better reflect existing physical conditions within the community.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Planning Commission recommended APPROVAL of the Ordinance Approving Obvious Changes to Aurora's Comprehensive Plan for 13 Areas Located throughout the City of Aurora.
