SUBJECT:
Requesting the approval to purchase a replacement vehicle for unit 58-146 from Roesch Ford - 333 W. Grand Ave, Bensenville, IL for $27,203.00.

PURPOSE:
To maintain the Water Production fleet.

BACKGROUND:
Unit 58-146 is a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 pick-up that was involved in an accident. This vehicle was inspected by local auto body repair companies and the accident damage was determined to be a total loss.

DISCUSSION:
The City's Property Claims Account 601-0000-410-4076 has available funds to cover the purchase of this vehicle.

Roesch Ford is the approved dealer on the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative, contract #148 for the 2017 Ford F-150 Pick Up.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact to other departments.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
I recommend that the City Council approves a resolution to purchase a replacement 2017 Ford F-150 Pick Up from Roesch Ford - 333 W. Grand Ave, Bensenville, IL for $27,203.00.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and

WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and

WHEREAS, Unit 58-146 is a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 pick-up that was involved in an accident. This vehicle was inspected by local auto body repair companies and the accident damage was determined to be a total loss, and
