PURPOSE:
The Homestead Elementary School PTA is requesting approval of its application to hold its proposed Husky Hustle 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run to promote wellness and community.
BACKGROUND:
This is the 7th year that the Homestead Elementary School is proposing to hold its Husky Hustle 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run in the community near the school.
DISCUSSION:
The sponsoring organization is responsible for all costs associated with this event. They are expecting 350 participants and 20 staff/volunteers to help.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services will be needed from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division and the Street Maintenance Division for barricades.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
