A Resolution Awarding EEI the Phase II Engineering Contract for the Kautz Road Multi Use Trail for an amount not to exceed $54,108.69.
PURPOSE:
To Approve a Resolution Awarding EEI the Phase II Engineering Contract for the Kautz Road Multi Use Trail for an amount not to exceed $54,108.69.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Aurora was awarded a $525,000 grant design to construct a multi-use path along the Kautz Road right of way from McCoy Drive to New York Street. EEI had been working on the Phase I, and was asked to continue though the Phase II Engineering.
DISCUSSION:
The grant received was an 80/20 split grant with the City being required to pay 20% of the construction cost. The City opted to fund the Phase II engineering in order to make the deadlines required by the grant.
The Phase II engineering will be funded by way of the following accounts:

GB113 Kautz Road Multi-Use Path Extension 340 4460 431 73 19 $ 10,000
GB119 Bike and Ped Enhancements 3404460 431 73 91 $ 15,000
