Wayside Cross Walk a Mile, Saturday, February 8, 2014

PURPOSE:
Lifespring and Urban Youth of Wayside Cross Ministries are requesting permission to conduct a fundraiser walk on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 8:30am to 11:00am.
BACKGROUND:
The organizers are expecting to attract 180 participants to this 8th year event. There will be approximately 20 volunteers assisting with the event.
DISCUSSION:
The fundraiser is designed to help support the ministry outreach programs of Wayside Cross.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The participants will use the sidewalks along the route and follow safety guidelines for crossing the streets and will not need closure of any streets nor need any barricades. They are not requesting any City services.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
