Resolution Authorizing Awarding a Contract to Crystal Management and Maintenance Services Corporation, Mount Prospect, Illinois for the Performance of Janitorial Services at City Hall, the Aldermen's Office, and the Elmslie/Hogan Building

PURPOSE:
To award the above-referenced contract pursuant to the RFP.
BACKGROUND:
RFP's were solicited for the performance of janitorial services at the above buildings. The proposal of Crystal Management and Maintenance Services Corporation of Mount Prospect, Illinois has been recommended as the lowest and most responsible.
Attached are the bid tabulations and respondent point rankings.
DISCUSSION:
Crystal Management and Maintenance Services Corporation has been providing janitorial services at these buildings since August, 2011. With some pointed direction, they have been performing admirably; particularly since the change out of their cleaning crew and the reinstatement of their former field supervisor in May, 2013.
Their qualifications and experience, as well as their availability and capacity to perform the work, resulted in their recommendation as the most qualified company. They were also the lowest bidder. Their proposal was deemed the most advantageous for the City in consideration of all factors.
