Aurora Downtown is requesting permission to stage Alley Art Festival on Water Street Mall on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
Alley Art is a free family-friendly art event showcasing local artists.
BACKGROUND:
The event showcases local artisans, crafters and musicians with free activities for all ages. This is the 8th year for this event.
DISCUSSION:
Alley Art has received a Neighborhood Festival Funding Grant to help offset the costs and insurance coverage is being provided by the City of Aurora.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City Services are being requested from the following:
Electrical-access to all power along WSM
Community Services-portable toilet order with Service Sanitation (covered by NFF)
Downtown Services-assistance with the disposal of garbage
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
