Homestead Elementary School PTA Husky Hustle 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run Walk, Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 8:30am to 10:15am.

PURPOSE:
To promote wellness and community.
BACKGROUND:
The Husky Hustle has been held for the past 8 years in the neighborhood surrounding Homestead Elementary School. Last year, 260 people participated in the event.
DISCUSSION:
The Homestead Elementary School PTA is expecting 300 people to participate this year and 30 staff/volunteers to help. The event will be canceled if there is lightening in the area on the day/time of the event. Homestead Elementary School is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services are needed from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division and the Streets Maintenance Division for barricades.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review/approval.
