PURPOSE:
Metea Valley High School is requesting approval of its application to hold the Metea LIFE Run as a school community event and fundraiser.
BACKGROUND:
This is the second year that Metea Valley High School is planning on holding a run/walk event, but the 1st year that it has formally submitted a fully completed proposal to the City for approval.
DISCUSSION:
The sponsor organization is responsible for all costs associated with this event. It is a 5K that can be ran or walked. They are expecting 300 participants and 50 staff/volunteers to help.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services are needed from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division and the Street Maintenance Division for barricades.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Division for approval.
