A Parking Study for Mulberry Court in the 2200 block. Ward 5, Alderman Franco.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Mulberry Court in the 2200 block to determine whether to remove the NO PARKING ON THIS SIDE restriction.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted PS # 1871138 requesting that all parking restrictions be removed from the entrance to Mulberry Court.
DISCUSSION:
The NO PARKING ON THIS SIDE signage was installed to allow Emergency Responders adequate room to enter and exit Mulberry Court. This was very critical because the roadway is narrow, about 26-ft in width. Similar restrictions have been placed on adjacent roadways with similar configurations.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action at this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends denial.
