Peace in the Park - YWCA Aurora to be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

PURPOSE:
The YWCA Aurora is requesting approval to host Peace in the Park at the Phillips Park Pavilion on October 5, 2013. The event will comprise of a picnic, inflatables, crafts and activities for the children.
BACKGROUND:
The organizers have hosted peace picnics in the past with a tie to Week without Violence.
DISCUSSION:
This event will benefit the community as YWCA Aurora will use proceeds for an anti-bulling program.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Support services requested from the City include the following:
- Use of the Phillips Park pavilion and the area immediately outside the pavilion
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
