St. John UCC is requesting the closure of the 300 block of 5th Street on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
St. John UCC is holding a Peace Celebration with the planting of a peace pole in the church garden and various performances.
BACKGROUND:
This is a first time event.
DISCUSSION:
Street closure is requested for public safety reasons.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Department to deliver barricades to the corners 5th and North Ave and 5th and Kingsbury on Friday, September 19 and pick up on Monday, September 22.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be approved and forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for consideration.
