PURPOSE:
To investigate the installation of Pedestrian Crossing signage and pavement markings from the south side of Hafenrichter Road across S. Farnsworth Avenue.
BACKGROUND:
A resident sent an ACR Case ID 90150 expressing concern as to whether Pedestrian Crossing signage and pavement markings would be installed for the newly constructed sidewalk approaches.
DISCUSSION:
A newly constructed sidewalk approach was added from the west side of S. Farnsworth Avenue and the reconstruction of the corresponding sidewalk on the south side of Hafenrichter Road are almost complete. The contractor will install pavement markings only, according to Contract Specifications.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Work added to existing contract.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommend approval of crosswalk installation.
