A Resolution Authorizing Presence Saint Joseph Hospital to Provide An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the Period of January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016.
PURPOSE:
To obtain approval for the automatic 2 year renewal provision of the service agreement with Presence Saint Joseph Hospital to provide an Employee Assistance Program for all City of Aurora Employees.
BACKGROUND:
In past years we have offered City of Aurora employees an opportunity to use the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital's Employee Assistance Program. This resolution continues an Employee Assistance Program for the benefit of the City of Aurora and its employees by establishing and implementing a mechanism to assist, counsel and support employees who have personal problems that may, or may not, affect their job performance. Based on the budgeted annual expenditure of $26,000 we are requesting approval at City Council.
DISCUSSION:
The attached agreement from Presence St. Joseph Hospital Employee Assistance Program is the agreement that was approved by City Council in 2013. The agreement includes an automatic 2 year renewable provision which was not noted in the original cover memo. As a result, approval is needed to compensate Presence for their ongoing EAP services through December 31, 2016. EAP continues to be an exceptional partner and has been providing services to the City to date.

That the City Council approves the resolution authorizing the continuation of its service agreement with Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Employee Assistance Program.
