A Parking Study for the 900 block of E. Benton Street. Ward 7, Alderman Hart-Burns.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for 915 E. Benton Street to determine the eligibility for installing HEARING IMPAIRED CHILD signage.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 138756 requesting HEARING IMPAIRED CHILD signage for their residence at 915 E. Benton Street. .
DISCUSSION:
The 900 block of E. Benton Street is classified as a Minor Collector. The roadway has a dashed Yellow Line the centerline, with parking allowed on the south side of the roadway, where 915 E. Benton Street is located. Road width is the standard 29-ft. The roadway allows One-Way traffic only, heading to the east. Both sides have curb and gutter, with a paved surface in good condition. Both parkways have sidewalks.
Because the city allows Hearing Impaired Child signage, and the residence has a hearing impaired child, staff recommends the installation of the signage in front of the residence.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be responsible or installation.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installation of HEARING IMPAIRED CHILD signage in front of the 915 E. Benton Street residence.
