SUBJECT:
A Resolution Authorizing Execution of Labor Agreement Between the City of Aurora and Management/Supervisory Personnel of the Aurora Police Department.

PURPOSE:
To obtain authorization to execute a Labor Agreement Between the City of Aurora and Management/Supervisory Personnel of the Aurora Police Department.

BACKGROUND:
Management/Supervisory Personnel of the Aurora Police Department contract expired on 6/1/2013. Negotiations began on 6/2/2013 between City of Aurora and the Management/Supervisory Personnel of the Aurora Police Department.

DISCUSSION:
Upon the completion of the tentative agreement, the Union ratified the contract on 3/5/2015. Highlights of negotiated terms include revised health insurance plan design language including an HDHP with an HSA and language allowing the City flexibility to make plan design changes and changes to insurance to comply with Affordable Care Act.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the City Council authorize the execution of a Labor Agreement Between the City of Aurora and Management/Supervisory Personnel of the Aurora Police Department, for the period of 6/1/2013 through 5/31/2017.
