SUBJECT:
An Ordinance providing for the Execution of an Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and Commonwealth Edison Company for a sanitary sewer easement on the property at generally located south of Diehl Road and east of N. Eola Road (City of Aurora /Commonwealth Edison Company - 18-0325 / NA08/1-18.071-DED/E - TV - Ward 10)

PURPOSE:
The City of Aurora and Commonwealth Edison Company are requesting approval of an Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and Commonwealth Edison Company for a sanitary sewer easement on the property generally located south of Diehl Road and east of N. Eola Road.

BACKGROUND:
The Subject Property is owned by Commonwealth Edison Company and is located just north of the Prairie Path on the east side of N. Eola Road and just south of the Prairie Path on the east side of N. Eola Road, south of Diehl Road, all of which is in unincorporated DuPage County.

The proposed easement agreement would allow for a 20 foot sanitary sewer easement located along the western property line of the Subject Property north of the Prairie Path and through the Subject Property just south of the Prairie Path.

Recently, the City acquired a sanitary sewer easement though Midwest Generation's property to extend the sanitary sewer from Metea Valley High School's property. This easement agreement will allow for the sanitary sewer to extend further north for facilitate future development of the properties located at southeast corner of Eola Road and Diehl Road.

DISCUSSION:
Staff has reviewed the Easement Agreement petition and have determined that it meets the applicable codes and ordinances.

IMPACT STATEMENT :
The Planning and Zoning Division would anticipate that this project will increase the City's overall tax base and viability by facilitating investment and development which will offset any incidental Department or staffing impacts,...
