A Parking Study for the northern end of Cleveland Avenue. Ward 4, Alderman Donnell.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Cleveland Avenue to determine how to insure clear line of site for employees exiting employee parking lot.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 131537 expressing concern about exiting the Pratt employee parking lot because semi-trucks would occasionally park close to one of the two exits, making it difficult to check for traffic on Cleveland Avenue.
DISCUSSION:
Although no semi-trucks were observed, it would be easy to imagine how a large truck parked close to either one of the two employee exits could hinder employees from leaving the employee parking lot. Installation of NO PARKING THIS SIDE on the eastern side of Cleveland Avenue should address the concern.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for installing the signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff suggests installing NO PARKING THIS SIDE signage on the eastern side of Cleveland Avenue from the north end of Cleveland Avenue to 100-ft south of the southern-most employee exit.
