KJ Multisport Aurora Duathalon 2 Mile Run on Barnes Road between Prairie and W. Galena Blvd, and 20K Bike at Blackberry Farm and Various Surrounding Roads on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 7:00am to 12:00pm.

PURPOSE:
KJ Multisport is requesting approval of its application to hold the Aurora Duathalon and state's that it benefits Blackberry Farm's low income program.
BACKGROUND:
This is the 4th year that KJ Multisport is proposing to hold the Aurora Duathalon with its base of operations at Blackberry Farm and use of various surrounding roads such as Barnes Road for the 2 mile run, and Hankes Road, Tanner Road, Bliss Road, and Deerpath Road for the 20K bike ride. KJ Multisport is expecting 200 people to participate and 20 staff/volunteers to help, as well as the Kane County Sherriff's Department.
DISCUSSION:
KJ Multisport is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City Services are being requested from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division for activities on Barnes Road.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
