A Resolution Establishing the Maximum Number of City of Aurora Liquor Licenses by Class
PURPOSE:
To maintain the number of Class F - Beer and Wine Restaurant licenses for a total maximum number of Class F as 15.
BACKGROUND:
This request is presented in accordance with the 2011 amendment to the City's Liquor Ordinance, specifically Section 6-9(a), which charges the City Council with the authority to determine the number of licenses available in each classification.
DISCUSSION:
Dweeti Inc, doing business as Rosati's Pizza, 2990 Ogden Avenue, Aurora, 60504, submitted an application for the purpose of selling beer and wine in conjunction with food service at his new location for consumption on site only.
Attached is the application submitted for your consideration. If approved, this resolution would increase the number of allowable liquor licenses as indicated in the accompanying Exhibit A to allow for the issuance of the license by the Commissioner.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The proposed resolution presents an opportunity to further the City of Aurora's economic development.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I am recommending that this resolution be referred to the Government Operations Committee for consideration at its meeting to be held on June 14, 2016.
