Requesting approval for Light of the Heart to conduct its 3rd annual Art Jam at the Phillips Park Pavilion on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
This is the third year for this fundraising event which is a celebration of the visual arts, art therapy and music.
BACKGROUND:
Light of the Heart is a registered not-for-profit organization. Funds generated from Art Jam assist the organization in accomplishing their program goals throughout the year.
DISCUSSION:
Proceeds from the event provide art therapy for at-risk and under resourced children, adults and families in Aurora. The event will be held rain or shine and is expected to draw approximately 250 people.
There are no direct City costs associated with this event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Organizers are requesting use of the Phillips Park Pavilion from 10:00 am through 6:00 pm to allow sufficient time for set-up and break-down.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
