Aurora Downtown is requesting permission to stage the Alley Art Festival on Water Street Mall on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

PURPOSE:
Alley Art Festival is a free family-friendly art event showcasing local artists.
 
BACKGROUND:
The event showcases local artisans, crafters and musicians with free activities for all ages.  This is the 7th year for this event. 
 
DISCUSSION:
Alley Art Festival has received Neighborhood Festival Funding to help offset costs and insurance coverage is being provided by the City of Aurora. 
 
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services requested:
Electrical-access to the power located at the southeast corner of City Hall on Water Street Mall.  
Community Services-order the portable toilets (covered by NFF).
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
