SUBJECT:
A Resolution appointing Lynn Head as the School District 129 representative and reappointing William Bergeron and Kenneth Cameron as At-Large representatives and Nestor Garcia as the School District 131 representative to the Aurora Planning Commission.

DISCUSSION:
The Aurora Planning Commission (APC) is a thirteen (13) member commission comprised of At-Large Citizens and representatives of the following entities: Fox Valley Park District, Aurora Township, School Districts 129, 131 and 204 and the Sanitary District. The APC is tasked with hearing and reporting findings and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on all applications for zoning amendments and special use permits.

The previous School District 129 representative retired and moved out of state, creating a vacancy. The two at-large and School District 131 terms recently expired.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve the appointment and reappointments as recommended.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and

WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
