A Parking Study for Bunker Hill Circle at N Gregory Street. Ward 10, Alderman Johnson.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Bunker Hill Circle at N Gregory Street to determine the need for parking restrictions at the two intersections.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 145614 expressing concern of difficulty pulling out of Bunker Hill Circle at N Gregory Street because of vehicles parked on N Gregory Street.
DISCUSSION:
N Gregory Street is classified as a Minor Collector, and Bunker Hill Circle is a private neighborhood roadway. N Gregory Street is a wide 36-ft, able to sustain two-way traffic and parking on both sides. N. Gregory Street does not mark off no-parking-here-to-corner with either signage or Yellow Curb. Bunker Hill Circle does have no-parking-here-to-corner signage, but no Yellow Curb.
Adding No Parking Here to Corner signage at N Gregory Street at both intersections may assist with visibility at Bunker Hill Circle.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for installation of signage and curb markings.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing No Parking Here to Corner signage at N Gregory Street at both intersections.
