SUBJECT:
A Resolution to authorize the City of Aurora to enter into a new Commercial Lease Agreement with Jolene Ryan, 16727 Grace St, Lockport , IL, 60441, d/b/a Jumpin Java Coffee, for commercial space at the Aurora Transportation Center Located at 233 N Broadway, Aurora Illinois 60505 commonly known as "ATC".
PURPOSE:
Resolution authorizing the City of Aurora to enter into a new Commercial Lease Agreement with Jumpin Java for the use of a commercial space at the ATC Commuter Station. The term of the lease would be for one (1) year.
BACKGROUND:
The City originally entered into a lease agreement with Peter Lo Destro back in February 2017 for vending space in the lobby of the ATC building. The lease has since been transferred to Ms. Ryan.
DISCUSSION:
Approving a new commercial lease would allow Ms. Ryan to continue her operation of the vending machines she is running in the ATC. Rent for the lease agreement would be $200 per month. Lease terms would stay the same as the previously approved lease.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The approval of this commercial lease agreement would allow for Ms. Ryan to continue her operation in a space that would otherwise become vacant.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
To approve entering into a new Commercial Lease Agreement with Ms. Ryan for the use of the commercial space at the ATC.
