Riverfront Playhouse is requesting permission to stage Shakespeare on the Mall at Mundy Park and Water Street Mall, July 22, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:30 pm.

PURPOSE:
This events provides a free outdoor presentation to those who may not otherwise have the chance to experience Shakespeare.
BACKGROUND:
This is the third year Riverfront Playhouse has hosted this event. The Playhouse has had a presence in the downtown since 1978.
Past attendance has been 100-200 and they expect approximately 250 this year.
DISCUSSION:
There are no City costs associated with this event. A Certificate of Insurance is pending.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Requesting use of both Water Street Mall and adjoining Mundy Park. Access to all available electric along the north side of Mundy Park and the east portion of Water Street Mall through the Electrical Division.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I recommend this proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
