Wayside Cross Rescue Mission Life Spring & Urban Youth Ministries Walk a Mile in My Shoes 1 Mile Walk, Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 8:00am to 11:00am.

PURPOSE:
This is a fundraising event to benefit the Wayside Cross Rescue Mission's Life Spring and Urban Youth Ministries Divisions.
BACKGROUND:
This proposed event is held annually and this is the 10th year it will be held. Expectations are for 200-300 people to participate and that 30 staff and volunteers will be helping. The Harkness Center, on 4th Street in Aurora is the beginning and ending point for the walk as well as the location for other activities associated with the event.
DISCUSSION:
Wayside Cross Rescue Mission is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The walkers, will be using all sidewalks for the walk with the exception of crossing the street at intersections, and the walkers will be abiding by all pedestrians rules at stop signs and/or stop lights.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
