A Resolution Authorizing Amita Health Saint Joseph Hospital to Provide an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the Period of January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2021.
PURPOSE:
To obtain approval to renew the service agreement with Presence Saint Joseph Hospital to provide an Employee Assistance Program for all City of Aurora employees.
BACKGROUND:
For over twenty five years, the City of Aurora has offered employees the benefit of using the Amita Health Saint Joseph Hospital's Employee Assistance Program. The program offers a mechanism to assist, counsel and support employees who have personal concerns that may or may not, affect their job performance. Based on the budgeted annual expenditure of $26,000, City Council approval is being requested.
DISCUSSION:
The attached agreement expires December, 31, 2018 with Amita Health Saint Joseph Hospital to provide an Employee Assistance Program. The current agreement is effective January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021, which includes a two one year automatic renewal provisions. Approval is needed to compensate Amita Health Saint Joseph Hospital for their ongoing EAP services through December 31, 2021. EAP continues to be a solid partner in providing exceptional service to the City of Aurora.
