Requesting approval for the issuance of a Circus License to Circo Hermanos Vazquez for a circus to be held at the Fox Valley Shopping Center on September 4 - 13, 2015.
PURPOSE:
Circo Hermanos Vazquez have applied for a Circus license to be held at the Fox Valley Shopping Center parking lot on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 6:00 p.m.to 11:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday, September 14, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
BACKGROUND:
Circo Hermanos Vazquez have been traveling the US performing since 1969. This will be the first time that Circo Hermanos Vazquez brings their event to the City of Aurora.
DISCUSSION:
The applicant has provided the required insurance document, a copy of the event layout, an application for an Operational Permit from the Fire Prevention Bureau.
City Staff (Fire Prevention, Police Department, Law Department and the City Clerk's office) will work closely with them to ensure additional requirements (Application Fee, Food and Beverage Tax Registration, Letter from Sponsoring Organization, Letter of Permission from Property Owner, USDA Licenses for Animals, Restoration/Performance Bond, Health Department Certificate and Circus Employee listing) are met prior to the issuance of a license.
