Batavia Container is requesting permission to stage Haunts for Hope on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at Tivoli Plaza.

PURPOSE:
This is a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Batavia Container won the St. Jude Partner of the Year in 2017 for their fundraising efforts.
BACKGROUND:
This is the third year for this event which came about from the personal connection the Sales Director has to St. Jude. This event is invitation only to the client base of Batavia Container. Anticipated attendance during the course of the event is approximately 700.
DISCUSSION:
The organizers are working closely with both Ballydoyle and Basement of the Dead. Ballydoyle serves food and beverage and Basement of the Dead gives private tours of the facility. The main portion of the event is in Tivoli Plaza where the music, food, beverages and pumpkin raffle will take place. A Certificate of Insurance has been applied for.
Patrons will be directed to park in Lot A or X.
Event organizers rent fencing to secure the area. This assures all beverages stay with the event location. There have no issues with the event in the past.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
There are no City services required for this event.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
