PURPOSE:
To provide a replacement for an existing salt storage shed located at the Aurora Municipal Airport
BACKGROUND:
The airport currently stockpiles road salt used for all non-airside deicing operations in an existing metal shed. This structure also houses various airport maintenance equipment.
Due to its corrosive environment, structural and non-structural components of this 26 year old structure have deteriorated to the point of extensive repair or replacement.

Concrete work is also associated with this structure and will not exceed $19,000, and will be procured through the City's OpenGov informal bid process.
The proposed shed is part of an approved 2025 decision package and funding in the amount of $60,000 has been set aside in the 2025 City budget under account No. 504-4454-433.38-05.
ClearSpan Corporation has no outstanding debt with the City of Aurora.
