SUBJECT:title
A Parking Study for the 1800 block of Cattail Drive. Ward 7, Alderman Hart-Burns
body
PURPOSE:
To determine any necessary action regarding reports of parking in front of a fire hydrant at 1885 Cattail Circle.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 113293 reporting vehicles parking in front of the fire hydrant in front of his residence at 1885 Cattail Circle.
DISCUSSION:
The law restricting vehicles from parking in front of a fire hydrant is well published and should be known to all licensed drivers. As the Fire Hydrant is not obstructed or difficult to see, it is questionable whether more markings such as Red Curb or NO PARKING IN FRONT OF THE FIRE HYDRANT signage would make any difference to a renegade driver. Enforcement of this matter must be addressed by or the Aurora Police Department.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action required.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Recommend denial. Will request resident call APD for enforcement of violations.
