The Warehouse Church is requesting permission to conduct their annual Motorcycle Sunday event on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm at Phillips Park. Final approval is requested by February 25, 2014.

PURPOSE:
This is the 14th year for the event which attracts anywhere from 500 to 1,000 patrons depending upon weather. The event activities include a worship service, bike blessing, face painting, various vendors, a picnic and concert.
BACKGROUND:
There have been no issues associated with this event in its 13 year history.
DISCUSSION:
This is a long standing event that brings in people from a large radius. There are no city costs associated with this event. The organizers do receive City funds through Neighborhood Festival Funding.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Warehouse Church will work with the Dan Anderson from the Parks Department for any additional needs. Organizers will have security and ushers to inform participants that bikes are not allowed on grassy areas or sidewalks. No street closures are required.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Requesting Government Operations approval for the 14th annual Motorcycle Sunday to take place on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Phillips Park from 9:30 am to 4:00.
