A Parking Study on the 900 block of Solfisburg Avenue. Ward 2, Alderman Garza

PURPOSE:
To investigate the need for more parking restrictions on the south side of Solfisburg Avenue at N. Ohio Street bordering a residential address of 474 N. Ohio Street.
BACKGROUND:
The resident submitted ACR Case ID 95494 expressing concern about vehicles parked on Solfisburg adjacent to their residence.
DISCUSSION:
A similar GO issue was discussed for this area in June 2012, requesting Yellow Curb to mark their driveway on Solfisburg Avenue, which was approved and is still in place (see TS12.057). Yellow Curb is also in place at the intersection corresponding with NO PARKING HERE TO CURB signage. The remaining parking area is adequate and legal for about two cars. Line of site for eastbound cars approaching Ohio Street on Solfisburg Avenue is adequate, and additional parking restrictions do not appear to be justified.
