A Parking Study for Fulton Street in the 800 block. Ward 2, Alderman Garza.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for 815 Fulton Street for the purpose of determining warrants for a Handicap parking space.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 124762 requesting the installation of a Handicap parking space in front of the residence of 815 Fulton Street.
DISCUSSION:
The residence of 815 Fulton Street has a single-lane driveway which is fenced off at the rear end of the house. There is space for two cars to park in the driveway comfortably, and possibly three parked carefully.
Parking restrictions have not been installed on Fulton Street. The roadway has new curb and gutter, new drive approaches, some new sidewalk, and new asphalt paving. The roadway is the standard 29.5-ft in with. There is an alley behind the residence, but it is too narrow for parking on either side
This residence does not meet the qualifications for consideration of a Handicap sign in a residential area. The property in question has a driveway, is not a multi-family unit that would cause coordination issue, nor are there any other extenuating circumstances.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends denial.
