I am forwarding to you a resolution that reappoints two members to the Fire Code Board of Appeals.

Reappoint to the Fire Code Board of Appeals:

Michael Cotteleer
Richard Ray

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and

WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and

WHEREAS, the terms of Michael Cotteleer and Richard Ray have expired; and

WHEREAS, it is the Mayor's desire that these two candidates be reappointed to said Board.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois, hereby approve the reappointments of Michael Cotteleer, St. Charles, IL and Richard Ray, Burr Ridge, IL as members of the Fire Code Board of Appeals.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of Michael Cotteleer and Richard Ray shall expire December 28, 2015, however; in any event, the appointees shall serve until their respective replacements have been approved by the Council.
