PURPOSE:
Rosary High School is requesting permission to hold its annual Road Scholars 5K Run/Walk as a fundraiser for school scholarship assistance.
BACKGROUND:
Rosary High School has held its annual Road Scholars 5K Run/Walk for the past 16 years using streets in the neighborhood near the school. 100 people participated in the 2015 event. The organizers are expecting 200 people to participate in 2016 and 50 staff/volunteers to help.
DISCUSSION:
Rosary High School is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Services will be needed from the Aurora Police Department's Traffic Control Division.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
