SUBJECT:
A Resolution Authorizing the Director of Purchasing to Execute the Engineering Agreement with Engineering Resources Associates, Inc.

PURPOSE:
To authorize the engineering agreement to provide additional construction supervision and material testing related to the 2015 Resurfacing Projects.

BACKGROUND:
During construction, it is important to have personnel on-site to observe the contractor's operations for compliance with the plans and specifications, layout work, measure quantities and test materials for quality.

DISCUSSION:
The attached Engineering Services Agreement from Engineering Resources Associates, Inc. is attached (Exhibit 'A'). This agreement will provide one full time engineer to assist the city's engineering department with construction supervision on all the 2015 Resurfacing project as detailed in the scopes of services in an amount not to exceed $120,386.60.

The 2015 City Budget provides $120,386.60 for this item in account no. 203-4460-431-76.09 (MFT Funds).

I request the proposed resolution be adopted.
